Terms of use
Last updated 18 October 2026
In short: Jlerts is free. Use it for your own streams, download it only from this website, and understand it may have bugs. It's provided as it is, without warranty.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are between you and Jayconius ("we", "us"), the maker of Jlerts ("the app") and this website. By downloading or using the app, or using this website, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use them.
2. A free app that's still growing
- The app is free of charge for everyone. It's in active development, and updates arrive often.
- We may change, add or remove features, or stop offering downloads, at any time.
- Like any young app it may have bugs, change between versions, or lose settings. Keep backups of anything important (⚙ Settings → Back up everything, or each alert's Export button).
3. Licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on your own computers for your own streams, including streams you earn money from. You may not:
- sell, rent or redistribute the app or its files (point people to this website instead);
- bundle, pre-install or re-upload the app as part of anything else (such as an alert pack, overlay bundle or installer). The app may only be downloaded from this website;
- decompile or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows this;
- remove notices from it, or use it to break the law or other people's rights.
The app and this website, including their design, text and graphics, belong to us. Third-party components included in the app are used under their own open-source licences.
4. Your content and your stream
- Everything you make or import (pictures, sounds, videos, fonts, text) stays yours. You're responsible for having the right to use it on stream.
- You may share, give away or sell what you make with the app (alerts, widgets, chat themes, overlays and their exports) anywhere you like, such as Etsy, VGen, Gumroad or Ko-fi. You keep what you earn. Your creations must not include the app itself, and the free templates that come with the app may be used inside your designs but not sold on their own. You're responsible for having the rights to everything you sell.
- You're responsible for what appears on your stream, including viewers' names and messages shown or read aloud. Use the app's filters and moderation to help.
- Follow the rules of the services you connect, such as Twitch, Streamlabs, StreamElements and Ko-fi, and OBS's licence. We aren't affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
5. Third-party services
The app connects to services we don't control (Twitch, Streamlabs, StreamElements, Ko-fi, OBS, Microsoft). They may change or stop working with the app at any time, and their own terms apply. We're not responsible for them.
6. No warranty
The app and this website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. We don't promise they will be error-free, always available, or suitable for a particular purpose; for example, that every alert, tip or goal will always be shown.
7. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of income, data, viewers or opportunities, arising from using or being unable to use the app or website. Because the app is free, our total liability to you is limited to £50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, or your rights as a consumer.
8. Ending
You can stop using the app at any time and delete it and its data folder. If you break these terms, your licence to use the app ends. Sections 3 (what you may not do), 6, 7 and 9 continue to apply.
9. Changes and law
We may update these terms; the new version will be posted here with a new date, and continuing to use the app means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without affecting any rights you have under the laws of the country where you live.
